Storing Batteries In Hot Weather Conditions

Batteries are perishable stock that react to their environment. Here are a few tips that will help you make sure your batteries are properly maintained in the workshop:

    1. Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Avoid long periods near windows/outside. Storage environment should be no more than 20℃, with a maximum humidity of 40%.
    2. Use the FIFO method – first in, first out. Place latest batteries purchased underneath, or behind, older stock.
    3. Recharge car batteries when voltage is lower than 12.4V, or 12.55V for heavy-duty batteries.
